HateBrakers (“HB”.), is an innovation of New Conscience, Inc. (“New Conscience”, or “we”, or “us” or “our”), a 501(c)(3) corporation. New Conscience has established this privacy policy as part of our commitment to privacy and transparency. This Privacy Policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for, referred to as the Website. By visiting the Website, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

General Information on Collection and Use of Information

While you access and browse through the Website, read pages, or download information, we may gather and store the following information about your visit: the Internet domain and Internet address of the device that you are using; the type of browser and the operating system used to access the Website; the date and time that you access the Website; the pages that you visit; and the website that referred you to the Website. This information does not identify you personally. We use the information to help us understand how people use the Website so that we can make the Website better.

Donations – Online

If you make an online donation, the donation will be processed by PayPal™, or another third party payment processing service. You will be asked to provide personal information in order to make the donation. New Conscience will securely store the information that it receives from the payment process that is required for maintaining a record of your donation.

Surveys, Petitions, Posts

New Conscience offers optional online surveys that are designed to take the pulse of the communities we serve. Surveys are anonymous, and the data we collect, which could include demographic statistics, might be published on the Website. New Conscience offers optional opportunities to post your name, organization and location as part of taking the HateBraker Pledge. If you choose to take the HateBraker Pledge and you choose to provide your name, organization and location to the Website, then you permit us to identify you using your first name and first initial of your last name as having taken the HateBraker Pledge, and post on the Website the location and organization information that you provided. If you later wish to have us not use your information or not display your Pledge related information on the Website, please contact us with your request and your information will be handled as requested.

Ownership and Sharing

New Conscience is the sole owner of the information collected on the Website. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

We may disclose your personal information 1) as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, 2) when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request, 3) to any successor in interest by merger, acquisition, reorganization, or operation of law, and 4) to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.

New Conscience may share aggregated, anonymous demographic information with our strategic partners. This type of information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

We actively use social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. You may choose to “Like”. HateBrakers on Facebook or “follow” us on Twitter. If you do so, then you will be identified by your Facebook and/or Twitter name on the Website.


We have security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our payment processor has its own security measures and policies to protect your payment information.
